When I decided to earn my General Contractors License I did a lot of calling around to several schools. What I found out was that they were willing to take my money but if I needed more detail or questions that was a different story. I called ACIS at 8:30pm and I thought I was going to leave a message, but to my surprise Joan answered the phone. I apologized for calling so late, she took the time to explain their services and answered all of my questions. The fact that Phil worked for the CSLB is an asset, Phil completes and reviews your application before he submits it for you. Most of the other schools give you the forms and tell you where to mail them. God forbid you make a mistake because CSLB will send it back and you will have to wait even longer for your license. The materials ACIS sends you are great! I really like the computer based test, and the ability to take test over and over. I called Joan after I passed my test; she told me that Phil and she would now be following through with the balance of my paperwork making sure everything was in place. Everything they promised to do they did from the time I signed up until I received my license.

If you are looking for a "TOP NOTCH" company, you can stop right here!! Phil and Joan are just the best; they don’t only work with you, they work for you. ACIS (Contractor University) was able to do everything for me but take the test.
